In a statement, the utility added that it was keen to provide better services to consumers.
SEWA apologised to consumers for a series of power cuts in some areas in Sharjah, news agency WAM reported.
It attributed the cuts to a "sudden glitch in natural gas pipeline", which feeds the main power station, prompting SEWA to deal with the emergency by cutting the power for hours from some districts.
It said "utmost efforts would be exerted to prevent repetition of the glitch".
On Thursday, it was reported that one person had died and hospitals had been inundated with cases of heat exhaustion as power cuts continued to hit Sharjah.
A construction worker died while the number of people being treated in hospital for heat exhaustion soared to four times the normal level.
Forty cases were reported on Tuesday and another 45 had been logged by Wednesday afternoon, Dr Nilova Qureshi, the director of the hospital’s emergency department said.
